Gunn Roofing Co. was instructed to carry out the replacement of a series of failing lead bays at Cowbridge Farm, together with any associated timber repairs required to restore the roof structure. Upon opening up the bays, it became clear that the existing timberwork had deteriorated beyond repair. Following discussions with the client, the decision was made to undertake a more comprehensive restoration, including complete re-boarding of the bays along with the replacement of the fascias, soffits and cast iron guttering.
Once the structure had been fully reinstated, we installed new Code 7 lead bays in accordance with Lead Sheet Training Academy (LSTA) recommendations, ensuring a durable and sympathetic finish in keeping with the character of the property.
